ThinkSyKids is operated by ACIRE Innovations Inc. LLC (“we”, “us”). You can reach us any time at info@acireinnovationsinc.com for privacy questions, data requests, or to ask for our postal address.

• Account information: email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile that Google returns (name and email).
• Profile details: display name, avatar emoji and colour, chosen theme, selected grade, and an optional profile photo you upload.
• Learning data: completed activities, quiz and placement results, practice history, tricky words, streaks, XP, and coins.
• Homework help metadata: the date, grade, and subject of each homework help request, whether a photo was attached, and whether the request was blocked by our safety filter.
• Guardian links: the connection between a parent/teacher account and a student account, created when a link code is redeemed.
• School inquiries: school name, role, email, and message when you submit the Schools & Classrooms form.
• Device data: basic technical information needed to serve the app (such as IP address in server logs) and error diagnostics.

Photos you submit to the AI Homework Helper are sent to our AI provider to generate step-by-step guidance and are not stored in our database. We keep only request metadata (time, grade, subject, blocked/allowed, whether a photo was attached) so grown-ups can review activity on the parent dashboard. Before a first photo is taken or uploaded, we ask for explicit consent to these guardrails.

• To provide the service — performance of a contract: accounts, lessons, progress, homework help, subscriptions.
• To keep children safe — legitimate interests and legal obligation: content filtering, abuse prevention, security.
• With consent — optional features such as profile photos, homework photos, and picture visibility settings.

We do not sell personal information, do not run behavioural advertising, and do not use student data to build advertising profiles.

We share data only with service providers that help us run ThinkSyKids, under contract and only for that purpose:

• Cloud hosting, database, authentication, and file storage
• An AI provider that processes homework questions and photos to generate guidance
• A payment processor for subscriptions (card details never reach our servers)

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect a child from harm.

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. For users in the UK and EEA, transfers outside your region rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Ask us at info@acireinnovationsinc.com for details.

• Account, profile, and learning data: for as long as the account is active.
• Homework help metadata: kept so grown-ups can review recent activity.
• Homework photo contents: not retained by us after the response is generated.
• Deleted accounts: personal data is removed within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except where we must keep records by law.

Data is encrypted in transit. Learning records, profiles, and uploaded pictures are protected by per-account access rules, so a signed-in user can only reach their own data and any student who has shared a link code with them. Profile pictures are stored in a private bucket and served through short-lived signed links. Parent and teacher dashboards can be locked with a PIN or device biometrics.

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR/UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, or withdrawal of consent. Parents and guardians can exercise these rights on behalf of a child. Email info@acireinnovationsinc.com and we will respond within the time the law allows (generally 30 days). EU/UK users may also complain to their local data protection authority.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
